Why do I love being a Stella & Dot stylist? Let me share my story with you.
In 2008, I thought I had everything I wanted. I ran a successful small business in the wedding industry and had spent nearly 10 years working for myself in an industry I loved. Often, my clients, and other women I knew, told me they envied me for having a small business I had passion for and had found success with.
Then along came Stella & Dot. When I learned I could sell stylish, fun, affordable jewelry as an “after hours” activity to make a little side money while the economy (and the wedding industry) took a beating, I thought jewelry sales would be a great way to have fun, put some dollars in my bank, and even meet great people.
But “a little side money” was where I was wrong! Immediately, I found myself making a few hundred dollars in commissions every time I did a trunk show. I was making well over $1,000 monthly if I held one every week.
It didn’t take long before I decided Stella & Dot was where my focus needed to be. My wedding company was great, but it kept me at the mercy of other people’s schedules. From caterers to churches to clients, it was all about when they could work with me. I realized Stella & Dot could allow me, for the first time, to have a viable business compatible with my life and my family’s needs, so I shut my wedding business and began to work with full-time flexibility around my family’s schedule.
I very quickly also realized that I wasn’t alone in needing a lifestyle-structured opportunity – minus the stress and headache of being a small business owner without any support network or success model to work under.
I made it my goal to help other women achieve the flexible success I had found – a richer life not just through work but in having greater control over their time by way of working when and how they want.
In the years since, I’ve enjoyed supporting thousands of women in our success model, and empowering them to experience a similar freedom. Today, they’re independent jewelry stylists working with Stella & Dot’s stunning line of accessories throughout six countries.
I’m so excited you’re open to becoming a Stella & Dot Stylist, and I know you have a lot to think about, but here’s what I told my two sisters and countless other women: You have nothing to lose and loads to gain. Consider the Stella & Dot mission statement and think about what it could mean for you:
